Similar to other TCG Card Battle games, Steel Commanders utilizes Quest Energy, Attack Energy, and Defense Energy. The Energy levels are increased with Growth Points which are rewarded after completion of a Quest and after a level-up. In adding to the gameplay, players are awarded Commander Points to use every 5 levels. These points allow users to further  customize how they want to grow their teams. The available stats that can be obtained through Commander Points are Leadership, Battle Tactics, and Logistics. Thus, despite being same level as another player, the overall stats can be vastly different.

Growth Points

Growth Points are points used by the commander to increase the maximum capacity of one of their three energy types. The three energy types are Quest Energy, Attack Energy, and Defense Energy. Psi-Energy is a wholly separate type of energy and its maximum capacity cannot be increased by spending Growth Points. Commanders earn Growth Points for leveling up and by defeating Boss Battles.

Commander Points

The available stats that can be obtained through Commander Points are Leadership, Battle Tactics, and Logistics. Leadership increases the size of the squad. Battle Tactics gives a 10% attack and defense bonus for each point and reveals more opponent information during battles. And Logistics decreases all Energy charge times by 5 seconds while increasing the maximum Energy capacity by 5 as well. Thus, despite being same level as another player, the overall stats can be vastly different.

  • Leadership: Increases size of squad per point.
  • Battle Tactics: Gives a 10% ATT and DEF bonus per point. Reveals more enemy information during Battles. Also increases the chance of activating unit's skills by 5% per level.
  • Logistics: Decreases all Energy charge times by 5 seconds & increases maximum Energy Capacity by 5.
